The End of Our Days

the man on the radio

his voice is stuck in my head

he wonders if we know

how long till we’re all dead

he laughs for some comic relief

but I just sit on my bed

and wonder if that will be me

or is it all in our heads

when the sky is on fire, when the lakes all drain

when the sun has grown tired and the clouds hold no rain

will you be there in the end, at end of our days

I don’t think that you will

you’re always some other place

there’s still talk on the radio

that we’re getting closer every day

oh and how long can we go, go on and on this way

oh tell me do you know, is there anything left to say

when the sky is on fire, when the lakes all drain

when the sun has grown tired and the clouds hold no rain

will you be there in the end, at end of our days

I don’t think that you will

you’re always some other place

and I don’t think that I will

I’m always some other place
